It is the most important winter festival of more of the province. It has being taken place from 1997 in the “Gran Teatro” of Cordoba, usually in the month of November. We could say that it is our stamp of identity, being an event where recognition to consecrated artists occurs simultaneously, that is an impulse to those new valuable artists.
Through this festival have passed figures like El Séneca, Rafael Ordoñez, or Churumbaque, in the singing speciality; Edu Lozano, Lola Perez, or Fran Espinosa, in dancing; Rafael Trenas, Merengue or Luis Calderito, at the guitar.
In each edition of the Cordobán flamenco festival, two awards are granted: The FLAMENCO CORDOBAN, with which distinction is given to a flamenco association to its works and followed path. And the INSIGNIA DE ORO (gold metal) of the AAFC, that is granted to a person or institution who has served as support to the task of dignifing and promoting flamenco.
ROUTE OF THE TAVERNS
It is annual event that takes place between the months of January to April. As its name indicates, it is a route in which once a week, the flamenco artist meet in the most emblematic taverns of our city to sing and play guitar.
When coinciding with Easter, we take this opportunity to produce the glorification of the saeta with a magnificent recital of saetas.
In the closing of this cycle, the amount of artist is increased, including a dance group to glamorize the spectacle.
WHITE NIGHT OF FLAMENCO
La Asociación de Artistas Flamencos de Córdoba colabora desde su inicio con la organización de la Noche Blanca del Flamenco de Córdoba, uno de los mayores eventos mundiales del arte flamenco.
Cada año decenas de escenarios se distribuyen por las calles y plazas de la ciudad con la intención de acercar el flamenco al gran público conviertiendo a toda la ciudad en una gran fiesta flamenca durante toda una noche.
La Asociación de Artistas Flamencos de Córdoba vela en cada edición por la participación de los artistas cordobeses -noveles y consagrados- en el cartel de un evento en el que colabora junto al Ayuntamiento de Córdoba.
MATINALES FLAMENCAS
El ciclo ‘Matinales Flamencas’ está organizado por el Centro Flamenco Fosforito y consiste en una serie de recitales de cante y baile que tiene lugar en primavera y otoño en el majestuoso entorno de la Posada del Potro.
La Asociación de Artistas Flamencos es una de las organizaciones que colabora con la Delegación de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Córdoba en la elaboración de la programación de un ciclo que supone una apuesta decidida por los artistas cordobeses, tanto de nuevos valores como de artistas ya consagrados.
FLAMENCO EN LA MAGDALENA
El ciclo ‘Flamenco en la Magdalena’ forma parte de la programación ‘Conciertos sentidos’ que promueve la Fundación Cajasur en colaboración con la Asociación de Artistas Flamencos de Córdoba.
El programa fue inaugurado en enero de 2017 y costa de de tres espectáculos que tienen lugar en la Iglesia de La Magdalena, una de las iglesias fernandinas de la capital ubicada en La Axerquía.
Las bailaoras Yolanda Osuna y Lola Pérez, así como el cantaor Julián Estrada, fueron los encargados de inaugurar un ciclo que viene a complementar la programación de flamenco de la ciudad.
FLAMENCO IN THE HISTORICAL CENTER CYCLE
Cycle takes place in the patio of the Christians Kings Fortress gardens. Previously, it used to take place in different spots of the city as: Plaza del Potro (Colt´s square), Caballerizas reales (Royal Stables), or Patio del Zoco (Zoco’s patio).
During the months of summer (from Julio to September), three days a week take place. In theme, the three branches of flamenco can be admired, singing, dancing and concert guitar.
